Tasting - Tribute Chardonnay
For this week's tasting, I tried the Tribute Chardonnay. I chose this specific Chard because I liked the look of the bottle. Here's my overall review of the Tribute Chardonnay!
Name: Tribute Chardonnay
Variety: Chardonnay
Country of Origin: United States
Region of Origin: California
Vintage Year: 2019
Price: $14.99
Wine Review: A big, rounded wine with aromas of ripe pear, crisp apple, and bright citrus met with decadent vanilla and crème brûlée through the mid-palate and finish. (93 pts, The Tasting Panel Magazine).
Wine Folly: Referenced from pages 96 and 97, Chardonnay. I definitely got scents of citrus and floral. Tastes of apple and baking spices on the palate. I did not get the pineapple. I did taste hints of vanilla and butter, after a second taste.
Personal Wine Review: This Chardonnay honestly wasn't my favorite. It was very light, which I liked, but with only faint notes of floral and citrus on the palate. Strong scents fruit and rubbing alcohol, which was not pleasant. Very acidic scent overall as well.
